On the chargeable weight, which is the greater of the parcel’s actual (dead) weight and its volumetric weight. Volumetric weight in kilograms is length x breadth x height in centimetres divided by 5000. That chargeable weight falls into a slab, and the slab plus the delivery zone determines the logistics fee, to which a fixed platform fee and GST are added.

Couriers sell space as much as they sell mass. A large light parcel takes room a heavy small one does not, so they bill on whichever measure is greater. If you ship pillows, blankets, or anything in an oversized box, you are almost certainly paying on volume rather than weight - and the fix is a smaller box, not a lighter product.

The values loaded here are illustrative starting points. Replace them with your own from the Supplier Panel and the calculation becomes exact for you. The weight maths - volumetric, chargeable, slab boundaries - is correct regardless of the rates.

Reduce the chargeable weight. If you are billed on volume, use a smaller or better-fitted box, or switch from a carton to a poly mailer. If you are billed on dead weight, cut packaging weight - lighter filler, thinner mailers, no unnecessary inserts. Consolidating multi-item orders into one parcel helps too. The calculator tells you which lever applies, and whether you are close enough to a boundary for it to be worth the effort.

Those work by making Meesho’s automated estimator classify your product into a lighter slab than it belongs to - the picture changes, the parcel does not. That misrepresents the product to the marketplace, pushes the real cost onto Meesho and the courier, and breaches supplier terms.
